A Dog’s Life

Ruggable

Are you fighting the battle of accidents, muddy paw prints and the unfortunate result of scooting?  Well, I am.  I have paid the high price of rug cleaning for a myriad of mishaps caused by my fur babies.  And because I love them, I accept this as my lot in life.  All that said, I just discovered a company called Ruggable.  Ruggable makes removable carpet covers that are machine washable, stain resistant and water resistant.  Not only are they extremely practical, but they are also very cute and affordable.  Each cover comes with a non-slip rug pad.  I love it when a problem is solved in a such a stylish way. Pup Portraits

Knowing how much I love my fur babies, it became that people starting to give me art prints of dogs as gifts.  This then prompting me to start collecting them myself.  Whenever I was on vacation in a new place I would look for an interesting print to add to my collection.  It got to a point where I had enough to create a wall gallery.  That wall gallery started in my home office in Lambertville, N.J. and eventually made its way to my office in Louisville, Colorado.  Now that I live in a small historic home in McKinney, Texas; I have yet to find a wall big enough to house my collection.  I always referred to this collection as my happy place.  But, of course, the faces of my Molly and Gracie provide a happy place that stays with me wherever I go. If you need a happy place, maybe for a kid’s room, home office or she shed…these are some of my favorite artists, here to inspire you.

Stylish Throw Blankets

If you are like me, you have lots of throw blankets that cover various surfaces whereby shedding fur and muddy paws prevail.  In the past, I could never find a throw that was nice enough to leave on the furniture that was also machine washable.  With the aesthetic improvement of synthetic fabrics, we now have a wide array of luxe throws suitable for you and your fur babies.
