Flower Power

Do you love fresh flowers in your home but maybe not the expense?  Margie Keats, the owner of The Lovely Ave has created paper flowers that are so realistic, you will have to look twice.  Margie began making flowers for her own wedding in 2013. After two years of side projects and spending every available moment perfecting the craft, The Lovely Ave opened its online doors.  For more information go to http://www.thelovelyave.com.

The Flora Forager

In this week’s Arts & Crafts blog I would like to focus on an artist that I discovered in the Country Living Creativity issue back in January.  Bridget Beth Collins is a botanical artist who creates art from nature – literally.  Her love of the Pacific Northwest’s mossy waterfalls and woodlands drew her to this art form.  Her charming and whimsical prints are perfect for a nursery, child’s room, craft room and if you are lucky enough to have one – your She Shed!  You can learn more about Bridget Beth Collins at floraforager.com.
